Julie (Soltis) Ionno, 89, of South Windsor and Hanover, NH formerly of Hartford, beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Ionno MD, died Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Born in Bridgeport daughter of the late Alec and Mary (Opina) Soltis. She was a registered nurse, graduating from St. Vincent's Hospital/School of Nursing in Bridgeport. She was a devoted mother to her four sons, David M. (Frances) Ionno of Hartford, Mark S. (Joan) Ionno of Bloomfield and Matthew J. Ionno of Athens, GA; a daughter Juliane T. Ionno of Lebanon; seven grandchildren, Sabra, Renee, Cassandra, Linnea, Luke, Peter and Mary Kim. She was predeceased by a son, Joseph A. Ionno II.
Her funeral service will be Saturday, September 13 at 10 a.m. at Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave, West Hartford. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
