Obituary for Henry F. Taylor

Henry F.  Taylor
Henry F. Taylor, 89, of West Hartford, loving son of the late Charles & Josephine (Pasieka) Krawczyk passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2015. He was born on April 16, 1925 in Scranton, PA. At the age of thirteen he moved to Connecticut with one of his older sisters. Henry attended schools in West Hartford, also Cheshire Academy and UCONN, with the first two years spent at Fort Trumbull and the last two years at Storrs. Henry served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Sibley (APA-206) during World War II in the Pacific Theater of Operations. In 1953, he started his career at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft working in power distribution and was later responsible for the power distribution maintenance of all Pratt & Whitney’s plants. Henry retired in 1984, after 31 years with P&WA to enjoy the remainder of his life with his friends and family and spend time traveling to destinations like the Caribbean and Hawaii (which he loved so much). He was also a long time member of the Luna Social Club where he and his wife spent many hours playing cards and bingo. Henry leaves his wife Ruth of 61 years; two sons, Stephen A. and Ronald C. Taylor of West Granby and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his loving son Gary M. Taylor, his four brothers and four sisters. His kindness, love and generosity will never be forgotten by his family and friends and he will always be deeply missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, (Feb.4), 10:00 am at St. Brigid Church, West Hartford. Burial will be private. The Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, West Hartford has care of the arrangements.
