Obituary for John D. Emshoff

John D. Emshoff, 60, of Bloomfield, formerly of West Hartford, devoted husband of Joan (Gilbert) Emshoff, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Born in Hartford, son of the late Ervin O. and Louise (Wheeler) Emshoff, he was a longtime resident of West Hartford. John was employed by the Town of West Hartford and had worked at the Wolcott School for over 18 years. He was an avid car enthusiast, especially for his mustang; loved trips to Maine and his dog "Rocky". John was a longtime member of the West Hartford Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. John in his spirit of giving was an organ donor. He is survived by his loving sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Hugh O'Connor of West Hartford; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and many adoring nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Sunday, (May 31), 7:00 pm at the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave, West Hartford. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.SheehanHilbornBreen.com.
