Rui Manuel Nogueira, 44, of Simsbury, formerly of Wethersfield, died Thursday, June 25, 2015 in Simsbury. Born in Hartford, the son of Maria (Pereira) Nogueira of Berlin, formerly and Manuel Nogueira of New Britain, both formerly of Wethersfield. Rui had lived in Wethersfield for many years and had a passion for music and was a phenomenal guitarist. Besides his parents, he leaves three daughters, Jessica Stewart, Amanda Stewart both of East Hartford and Claudette Nogueira of TN; his sister, Lizete May and brother-in-law, Todd of Berlin; a granddaughter, Kiera; a nephew, Chase May and a niece, Reagan May and many aunts, uncles, cousins and his close friend, Cheryl Futtner of East Hartford. The family would like to thank the staff at the Governor's House for all their care and support. Also to Fr. Michael Santiago for all he done for the family. Funeral procession will be Monday, 9:00 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford, Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours are Sunday from 4 to 7pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Recreation Department/ Governor's House, 36 Firetown Rd., Simsbury, CT 06070.
