Obituary for Elizabeth Marie Bakalar (Jacoby)

Elizabeth Marie (Jacoby) Bakalar, 94, of Petaluma, CA; formerly of West Hartford; wife of the late Michael Bakalar, passed away on November 29, 2015. Born on December 26, 1920, daughter of the late John J. and Ellen (Forni) Jacoby of PA. Betty and her husband moved to Connecticut in 1949 and lived in West Hartford until 2003 when she moved to CA to live with her son. Betty was a homemaker and worked at Industrial Risk Insurance Company.
Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her son Michael J. Bakalar and his wife Linda Petaluma, CA; three grandchildren Susan, Michael, and Brian Bakalar; and six great-grandchildren Nicole, Alexandra, Danielle, Stephanie, D.J. and Michael.
The Funeral Services will be on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. Calling hours will be from 9:00-10:00 am at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford.
