Obituary for Rita Sheehan Zalucki

Rita Sheehan  Zalucki
Rita (Sheehan) Zalucki, 98, of West Hartford, beloved wife of the late Matthew J. Zalucki, died Monday, December 7, 2015. Rita was born in Graniteville, VT, she moved to Hartford and resided in West Hartford over 50 years. Prior to her retirement she worked as a pediatric nurse for many years. She is survived by four sons, Matthew J. Zalucki and his wife, Elizabeth of Tolland, George Zalucki of Florida, Norman Zalucki and his wife, Diane of Florida and John Zalucki and his wife, Kathryn of Enfield; a daughter MaryAnn Hall and her husband, Jeffrey of West Hartford; a sister, Kathleen Smith of Somers; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Rita was predeceased by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Joyce Zalucki; her brothers, Irving, Louis and Harold Sheehan; a sister, Ida Haley. Funeral procession will be Friday, (Dec. 11), 9:15 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 am at St. Brigid Church, West Hartford. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours will be Thursday, (Dec. 10) from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
