Obituary for Carl Alois Windisch

Carl  Alois  Windisch
Carl Alois Windisch, 86, of West Hartford, passed away on March 7, 2016. Born in New Britain, on January 18, 1930, son of the late Alois and Wilhelmina (Maunter) Windisch, he lived in West Hartford all his life. Carl was employed by West Hartford Public Schools for over 25 years.

Carl was an avid gardener, landscaper and enjoyed working in his "veggie garden." He enjoyed spending time at Elizabeth Park, and the summer concert series. He had sincere compassion for all animals and Model A antique cars were his favorite.

Carl is survived by his brother Robert Windisch Sr. of Simsbury, a sister Wilma McGlew of Chandler AZ; nephews Robert Windisch Jr. of Simsbury, Robert McGlew of New Lisbon WI, Timothy McGlew of Bakersfield CA, and Thomas McGlew of Chandler AZ; and nieces Karen Sickinger of Simsbury, Donna Connelly of Tolland, and Patricia Vaichus of Wolcott, and 22 great nieces and nephews.

The funeral procession will be on Saturday, March 12 at 9:45 a.m. from the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10a.m. at St. Mark's the Evangelist Church, 467 South Quaker Lane, West Hartford.
