Obituary for Veronica F. Rogers (Guinan)

Veronica F. (Guinan) Rogers, 67, of West Hartford, died Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Francis, Sr., and Jean (Zongol) Guinan, she had lived in West Hartford most of her life and was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Veronica retired from St. Francis Hospital after 40 years. She treasured the times she spent with her family and friends and is survived by her beloved brother and sister, Francis M. Guinan, Jr. , Mary Ann Levander and her husband Rockey, Teresa Ward and her husband Skip all of West Hartford and Patricia Anderson of Florida; her adored nephews and nieces, Michael Guinan and his wife Sylvia and their children, Grayson, Olivia and Sophia, David Levander, Matthew Levander and his wife Shana and their daughter Sophie, Elizabeth Ippolito and her husband Tony, Ryan Ward (Godchild) and his girlfriend, Ginger Mills, Kim Dolliver (Godchild) and special friends Emmy and Lew. She is also survived by her aunts; many cousins, and friends. Veronica was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Guinan; sisters Kathleen Hoyt and Eileen Guinan and many aunts and uncles. Family and friends will gather for a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, (May 2), 10:00 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, West Hartford. Calling hours will be prior to the funeral mass beginning at 9:00 am at the Church. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Thomas the Apostle Church Food Bank, 872 Farmington Ave., West Hartford, CT 06119.
