Anna Fichera (Ganci)
Anna Fichera, 81, of West Hartford, beloved wife of the late Filippo Fichera, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Hartford Hospital. Anna was born in Sicily, Italy and had lived in West Hartford for many years. She was a longtime member of the English and Italian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses who will miss her very much. Anna leaves behind her son Philip Fichera and his wife Jennifer and two daughters, Sara Hatje and her husband Arthur, and Maryann Buccheri and her husband Sebby; three loving grandchildren who she adored, Brianna Buccheri, Philip Hatje and Sebby Buccheri, Jr. She also leaves her brothers Emanuelle Ganci and Sergio Ganci; a sister Maria Sarnataro and a host of brothers and sisters-in-law. She was predeceased by two brothers Salvatore and Marcello. A very special thank you to Tess Ryan who went above and beyond to take care of our mother in her time of need. They formed a special bond, one we will never forget. Funeral Service will be Monday (June 6), 10:00 am at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. West Hartford. Calling hour will be Sunday, (June 5), from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.SheehanHilbornBreen.com.
