Barbara (Myers) Wilson, 64, of Sarasota Florida, formerly of West Hartford, passed away on August 4, 2016. Born in Hartford on June 5, 1952 to the late Charles and Bertha (Kapsia) Myers, Barbara was a graduate of Conard High School. Barbara spent the majority of her life in West Hartford, working at well-known town establishments, including Daly's Supermarket, the Town Hall Credit Union, and most notably as the owner of Sedgwick Deli Mart. There she not only enjoyed making party platters and 6 foot grinders that wowed customers, but also loved talking with her “regulars”. In addition to her husband, Gerald McCoy of Florida, Barbara is survived by her brother, James Myers of Florida, and her children: David Wilson and his wife Aileen of West Hartford; Candace O’Leary and her husband Michael of Shelton; Richard Wilson and his wife Katrina of Manchester; and, Cindy Wiegand and her husband Jeff of Sarasota, Florida. Barbara also leaves behind her six grandchildren: Luke and Evan Wilson (West Hartford); Angelina and Vincent O’Leary (Shelton); and Ainsley and Addisyn Wiegand (Sarasota, FL), as well as aunts, cousins and nieces and nephew. Barbara was predeceased by her brothers Richard and Charles Myers. Relatives and friends may call on Friday (August 19) at Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford from 4-7 p.m. A private burial is scheduled.
