The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Paul Carver can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Sebastian (Sebby) Amenta
Condolence: It was with profound sadness that I heard of Paul's passing. I worked with Paul for 31 years at Maguire. Paul was the smartest engineer I ever met.
His knowledge of Hydraulics and many other engineering subjects was amazing and he kept all the files so he could share his knowledge with others. He was very loyal to his company and to his friends and always willing to help a friend in need.
When he heard my son David was interested in trains he volunteered to take him to the Train Show at the BIG E and to meetings with his other train enthusiasts. I know my son really enjoyed the time he spent with Paul.
He was a one of a kind special person. I will miss him dearly.
My condolences to the entire family.

Condolence: Paul was a great guy, and good friend to all who shared an interest in Railroad History. He, and his bowtie, were regulars at our Friday evening dinners in Palmer, and always livened up the conversations with his anecdotes and other gems. In addition to being a Patriot who served his country, and a successful Civil Engineer, he was most proud of his children and grandchildren, and was not shy about sharing this with all his friends.

My sincerest condolences to the Carver family.

Condolence: Dear Randy and family,

I am so sorry for your loss.

I only knew Paul since the winter of 2008 / 2009, but what time we had together both face to face, at meetings and on the telephone discussing trains, drainage solutions and water in general was very interesting and extremely enjoyable.

He was very much full of life and yes he did love his bow-ties.

I will miss him very much especially when I was just thinking about him on Sunday.

On behalf of the Nutmeg Division of the Northeastern Region of the NMRA (National Model Railroad Association) our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this time of your great loss.

Paul may you now enjoy your time with your wife have the grandest of train rides. Thank you for your service to the country.

Condolence: I knew Paul for many years. He was always a delight to chat with, especially concerning the New Haven RR.
He will certainly be missed by all of us fellow model railroaders that knew him.
May he rest in peace and be back with his beloved wife. No doubt, sporting his famous bow tie.
Thank you Paul for your service to our country and helping us to be free.
