Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Maria Santos can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Maria Alice  Santos (Henriques)
Maria Alice (Henriques) Santos, 65, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of Joaquim F. Santos, died Sunday, June 18, 2017 at home, surrounded by her family. Born in Batalha, Portugal, she came to Hartford in 1977. Alice was employed at Hartford Hospital for 33 years, recently retiring. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford and the Holy Ghost Portuguese Society. She loved cooking, spending time with her family and getting involved in Church events. Besides her husband, she leave a son, Michael Santos; a daughter, Melissa Santos; three brothers, Joaquim Henriques and his wife Olipia, Jose Henriques and his wife, Isabel and Arlindo and a sister, Maria Emilia Cordeiro and her husband, Manuel all of Portugal. She leaves a sister-in-law Maria Emilia Freitas and her husband Carlos and many nieces and nephews. Alice also leaves her beloved "Bro".
Funeral procession will be Friday, (June 23), 9:00 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave, West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford. Burial will be in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. Calling hours will be Thursday, (June 22), from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 or to Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Square, 50 Kane St, West Hartford, CT 06119. A Seven Day Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, (June 25), 9:30 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Online condolences may be made at www.SheehanHilbornBreen.com
