Maria Rosa Trindade (Bom) Raposo, 80 of West Hartford, beloved wife of Joao Raposo died Thursday June 29, 2017 in Portugal, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Mira de Aire, Portugal she resided in Hartford and West Hartford for 48 years. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Spending time with her grandchildren was her greatest joy. She also enjoyed traveling to Portugal every summer to visit family and friends. She is survived by her two daughters, Cristina Lopes and her husband Thomas Lopes of West Hartford; Nancy Stickles and her husband Stephen Stickles of Newington; four grandchildren, Timothy Lopes, Michelle Lopes, Sophia Stickles and Marisa Stickles; a brother, Artur Bom in Portugal. She also leaves sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews in Portugal. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m., at the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Hartford. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford.
