Jeffrey Zweig of West Hartford passed from this life on July 19, 2017, at the age of 60. He was born on December 3, 1956, to Sheldon and Adele (Burris) Zweig of Long Island, NY. Jeff attended the Hartt School of Music and graduated from UConn. During his career as a professional guitarist, Jeff performed in musical theater productions nationwide. Upon his return to Connecticut, he taught Ashtanga yoga in numerous locales throughout the state.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife Janet Woodruff of West Hartford; his father Sheldon, brother Garry, sister-in-law Michelle, nieces Allison and Rachel, and aunt Vivian Fishkin, of Plainview, NY; stepson Ryan Senft of Middletown; stepdaughter Kari Nagle, her husband Raymond, and two beloved grandsons, Georgie and Jonjon Nagle, all of Southington; plus many cousins and lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his mother Adele.
A celebration of Jeff’s full and beautiful life will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford, CT. Calling hours will begin at 2:00 pm with a brief service at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Masonicare or to the Smilow Cancer Center at St. Francis Hospital.
