Joseph M.  Harrigan
Joseph M. Harrigan, 69, of West Hartford, beloved husband of Barbara (Grogan) Harrigan, died Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford, son of the late Margaret "Peggy Sue"(Fitzpatrick) Harrigan and Robert S. Harrigan, Sr. and had lived in West Hartford all his life. He was a graduate of Northwest Catholic High School and Central Connecticut University. He was a self-employed auditor contracted by Contract Management Strategies. Joe was proud of his Irish heritage, and loved Irish songs. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend. Besides his wife, he leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Melissa Harrigan of Medway, MA; a daughter Colleen Harrigan of West Hartford and three brothers, Paul Harrigan of Hartford, Jerry Harrigan of Clinton and Thomas Harrigan of Bloomfield, as well as numerous in-laws and extended family who loved him dearly. Joe was predeceased by a son, Bryan Harrigan and a brother Robert S. Harrigan, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 31, at 10:00 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, West Hartford. The family will receive friends at the church 9:00 to 10:00 am prior to the mass.
