Albano R.  Marcelino
Albano Rodrigues Marcelino, 79 of Windsor, CT passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017. Born on November 29, 1937 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Albano was the son of Daniel Rodrigues Marcelino and Julia Joaquina da Fonseca. Albano was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His love of life will live on through his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Albano was an avid reader and puzzle master. He loved soccer and playing with his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends celebrating life. He was a devoted Catholic and deeply grounded in his faith. A dedicated member of the Portuguese community in Hartford, Albano was a player and coach of the Hartford Portuguese soccer team and also served as President of the Rancho Folclorico do Clube Portugues of Hartford. Albano is preceded in death by his parents and brother (Daniel Marcelino).
He leaves behind to celebrate his life and carry on his legacy his beloved wife Maria Rosa Marcelino, his son José D. Marcelino and his wife Natalia Marcelino, his son Eduardo J. Marcelino and his wife Pamela J. Marcelino, his daughter Julia M. Huggins and her husband John C. Huggins and his son Luis M. Marcelino. He also leaves behind to proclaim his life's journey, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, with 3 on the way. We will honor his life and memory on Wednesday (Aug. 30), from 5 to 8 pm at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, (Aug. 31), at 10:00am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford. He will be buried in his hometown of Branca, Portugal on Saturday, September 2, 2017.
