Obituary for Edward Paul Fichera

Edward Paul Fichera
Edward Paul Fichera, 41, of West Hartford, beloved husband of Bridget (Miller) Fichera, died Sunday, September 17, 2017. Born in Hartford, son of Emma (Jones) Fichera of West Hartford and the late John Fichera, he was a resident of West Hartford, for most of his life. Ed was a graduate of Kingwood Oxford School, where he played football and was Captain of the Track Team, a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute and was married in 2006. Ed was the owner of Main Hardware in East Hartford. He was a member of the Elks Club of South Glastonbury, the Andover Gun Club and a well know local business owner.
Besides his wife and mother, he leaves a brother, Mark Fichera of New York City; two sisters, Christine Fichera and her husband, Todd Parker of West Hartford, Penny Fichera of Cocoa Beach, FL and his four nieces and nephews, Nathan and Avery Parker and Tommy and Tyler Lotito.
Ed’s friends and family were the center of his life and he was fiercely loyal to them. He loved holidays or any excuse to get together to cook, laugh and share stories. He was a great story teller and always had the perfect story for any situation. Many of his stories revolved around his father with whom he had a very special bond. He loved picking up new hobbies which he would passionately pursue. He loved sharing these pursuits with his wife, Bridget — whether is was four wheeling, shooting guns or finding the best cut of meat to grill for his family. Ed loved a good debate. He was outspoken but always loving. Ed was open and genuine and able to make friends wherever he went. His humor was loud, fun and his personality filled any room. He will be missed and loved by everyone that knew him.
