Louis "Lou" J.  Corbidge
Louis J. "Lou" Corbidge, 74, of West Hartford, beloved husband of Mary (Cherne) Corbidge, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at home. Born in Hartford, he had lived in Unionville and in Avon and was a resident of West Hartford for the past 40 years. He retired as an executive chauffeur of the Hartford Insurance Co. Lou was a U.S. Army veteran and was an active member of the Avon Volunteer Fire Dept.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Lynn Ryan, Lorelei Cugno and her husband Gary, Louann Corbidge and Coreen Corbidge; a brother, Robert Corbidge and five sisters, Lois Pease, Justine Pratt, Joan Bizier, Georgia Wojciechowski and Frances DeVevo. Lou was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Corbidge and two sisters, Caroline McGuinn and Sharon Wice. He also leaves the second love of his life, a granddaughter, Ashley Cugno
Funeral procession will be Saturday, 9:30 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 am at St. Brigid Church, West Hartford. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Dr, Wallingford, CT 06492.
