Betty peacefully left this life on January 7, 2018, and is now joyfully reunited with her husband Wayne L. Jones, Sr., her sons Wayne L. Jones, Jr. and Kevin Jones and his dog Jake, her parents Edward and Eva Gendreau, sister Irene Sullivan and brothers Henry and Roy Gendreau. Betty leaves behind her loving and brokenhearted family and friends including her daughter, Deborah (Debbie) Petralito and her husband Gary of Farmington, her son, Richard (Ricky) Jones of West Hartford, her son, Keith Jones and his wife Mary of Canton; her daughters-in-law, Moira Jones of Harwinton and Pam Hurt of Texas; her grandchildren, Douglas Jones, Megan Jones and her fiancé, Jeff Heim, Christopher Jones, Jason Jones, Lindsey Petralito and her partner, Dan Phillips, Wayne Petralito and his wife, Allie, Mike Jones and his partner, Danielle Buczko, Richard Jones and Daniel Jones; her two sisters-in-law, Mary Gendreau and Helen Gendreau and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves many friends including her best friends, Linda Pelligrino, Carol Johns, and all of her “buddies” from “Compassionate Friends”. We would be remiss not to mention her love for the dogs in her life leaving behind her best friend Tiny, Sweetie, Tino, Reese and Jolene. Betty dearly and deeply loved us all.

Betty came into this life on December 12, 1934 the youngest of four children born to Edward and Eva (Roy) Gendreau of Torrington. She had a strong (and sometimes stubborn) French Canadian spirit with an intense love and passion for life, family, people, laughter and music. She endured tremendous heartache in her lifetime with grace. Her generosity was abundant, her stories were outrageously hilarious, her laughter was contagious, her cream puffs were to die for, her compassion for her family and total strangers was heartfelt and her ability to find the good in everyone was enlightening.
