Condolence From: Betsy MacDermid
Condolence: Dear Russ and Dave,

Wick called me today (April 9) telling me he just learned of Dorothy's passing. I am saddened to hear this and dismayed that none of the Mallorys knew she had died. Your mom and dad and you three boys were hallmarks in our childhood. It is impossible to look back on so many wonderful memories growing up without thinking of you 5 Weigels. The loving and constant relationship between your mother and ours became our gold standard for true female friendship . I cherished seeing the happiness in my mother when in the company of Dorothy. As I got older I too joined in their "girl" fun....lunch, outings, and lively conversation over drinks....becoming her friend too. I send much love and deep regard to you both in losing this most statuesque woman who meant so much to the Mallorys.........Betsy

Condolence: Dear Russ and David and family,

I am so sorry for your loss. Your Mom was a wonderful friend to my parents, Gerda and Jim Farrell. She was a lovely woman inside and out. Her graciousness and elegance was evident in everything she did. I would often stop in to have a glass of wine with her on my visits to my Dad at Seabury. She was fun to be with, a great conversationalist, and loved to talk about her family. She will be missed.

Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: Dear Russ and Jane,

While Dorothy lived an extraordinary and fulfilled life, her passing will create a huge void for the entire Weigel family.

I had heard nothing but superlatives about Dorothy for decades, and I was so pleased to meet this beautiful woman just 10 days ago.

I regret travel will prevent my attendance on Saturday. Please accept my condolences to you, and your family.

Condolence: We are so sorry to learn of the passing of your mother, Russ, and also of your mother several months ago, Jane. Our condolences to you ,to all in your families grieving these losses, and to the friends of both ladies. To live a long, fulfilling life is a great achievement, and both your moms obviously showed how it's done. All our best to you.
