Americo S. Rodrigues, 77, of Hartford, beloved husband of Hilda (Rodrigues dos Santos) Rodrigues, died Monday, March 26, 2018. Born in Vizeu, Portugal, he lived in Hartford for many years and was retired from Whitnon Spindle in Bristol. Americo had a passion for music, especially his Portuguese Fados. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Hartford and the Hartford Portuguese Club, Newington. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Americo and Tina Rodrigues of Ellington; his daughters and sons-in-law, Maria R. and Jose Chora of Bristol and Teresa M. and Jamie Walker of Manchester; a sister Gracinda Tilly of Portugal; his grandchildren, Jordan, Alex, Tyler, Mallory, Marcus, Xavier and Donovan; many nieces and nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by a grandson, Joshua. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, (April 3), 10:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Hartford. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours are Monday, (April 2), from 5 to 8 pm at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford.
