Francisco Collazo "Frank" (1937-2018), 80 passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of his home on Monday, April 23, 2018. Native of Comerio, Puerto Rico, moved to Hartford, CT in 1984 with his late wife Evangelina Burgos Lopez (Ningue). He is survived by his four children, Francisco Collazo, Jr., Evelyn Collazo, Ada Collazo and Elsie Rodriguez. He was a grandfather to 12, great grandfather to 16 and great great grandfather to 1. Frank was a hardworking family man that loved helping his community and was known for having many well-known businesses (Bodegas) including Cash and Carry (PR), El Pocito Dulce and Flatbush Market in Hartford– which everyone knew for his hot delicious sandwiches! Franks actions spoke louder than words. He was a true gentleman with many talents, strong character, boundless wisdom and great sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with family, playing dominos, watching baseball and going to the casino. Although it breaks our hearts to lose you, we know that God has taken you home. In life we loved you dearly, in death we'll love you still. As part of us went with you, in our hearts you hold a place no one could ever fill. We all promise to make you proud and to carry on your legacy. Services held on Friday, April 27th from 5-8pm at Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home 1084 New Britain, Avenue West Hartford, CT 06110.
