Obituary for Virginia Reyes (Diaz)
Virginia Reyes, age 86, of Hartford, CT passed away at the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, CT on Sunday, April 29, 2018 after a courageous battle with tracheostomy illness. She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Eladio Reyes, Sr., sons; Eladio Reyes, Jr. and wife Ramonita, Jorge Reyes and wife Evelyn, Carlos Reyes and his wife Rosa, brother Jesus Rivera (Chucho), 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her daughter Adelaida Rodriguez.
She moved from Puerto Rico to Buffalo, New York in 1966 then relocated to Hartford, CT in 1970. "Mama Nina" as she was known, was a loving and caring person who helped raise several of her grandchildren. We will miss her strong and loving spirit.
