Obituary for Richard F. Nolan

Richard F. Nolan, eldest son of the late Valmore Nolan and Helen Daugnoras Nolan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June, 13, 2018 in Hartford after a brief illness. He is survived by his brothers, Robert Nolan of Hartford and Kenneth Nolan of Morris; a nephew, Jeffrey Nolan of New Britain; cousins, Fay Nolan of N. Attleboro, MA, George Nolan and Donald Nolan of New Bedford, MA and Richard's best friend, Bill Crochetière of West Hartford. He was a communicant of St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church Parish where he served as acolyte at parish funerals. He was educated in West Hartford public schools and the Ward School of Electronics, after which he worked for IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY for thirty years. Richard was kind hearted and compassionate, one who reached out to the less fortunate, offering many different kinds of help according to need. He will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. Richard's family and friends wish to thank the Hartford Hospital staff for their excellent and compassionate care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, (June 19), 10:00 am at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church, 285 Church St., Hartford, CT 06103. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Calling hours will be Monday, (June 18), from 4 to 7 pm at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford.
