Obituary for Sr. Bridget M. Kenny

On October 10, 2016, Sister Bridget Mary Kenny, RSM departed this life. She was born March 29, 1925 to the late William and Bridget (Landers) Kenny in the city of Hartford. She is predeceased by her sister, Helen, brothers, William and Robert, and sister-in-law Mary. She leaves her sister, Joan R. Kenny, sister-in-law, Judith Kenny, brother-in-law Arthur Petrone and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Sister taught in many schools in the Connecticut Catholic School system. Before retiring to Frances Warde Towers Apartments, she worked in Hartford doing an outreach program. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Mary Home Chapel on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 6:00 p.m., preceded by calling hours from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery on Friday at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the Sisters of Mercy, 55 East Cedar St., Newington, CT 06111 or to the Barton Center (for the education of diabetic children), Box 356, North Oxford, MA 01537 attention: Kenny Classic Golf Tournament.
