The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Laura Loura can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Sr Laura will be missed so dearly, we may have not been family but she treated us like we were. I first met her when I left my 6-month old daughter with her for the first time not personally knowing her and it turned out that she became more of a grandmother instead of a babysitter not only to my daughter and also my son. I will be so forever grateful for all the wonderful memories she gave my children growing up, along with all the things she taught them and also for her friendship to me over the years that continued even after the kids were grown. She will always be remembered as Avó Laura which is what the kids she took care of referred to her as and still do.
My deepest sympathy to Maria Albina, Amilcar, Cristina and Silva, I too can relate to the pain your feeling with her loss but remember all the wonderful memories of her that you have in your hearts for eternity.
